Manolito Simonet y su Trabuco

Composer, arranger and pianist, self-taught. Cuban music overflows in its musical compositions, enriched by the contemporary sonority of the timba and the singular interpretation of the instruments he controls to perfection.

In 1993 he created his own band with the name of Manolito Simonet y su Trabuco, one of the best and most popular orchestras of Cuban popular music, in which he manages to mix the most traditional Cuban music with contemporary sounds. Manolito harmoniously fuses Cuban genres such as the guaracha, the bolero, the chachachá, the danzón, the timba; with other genres more in the Puerto Rican style, resulting in the peculiar sonority of the Trabuco.In addition to making all the productions of his albums, his work as a music producer includes musicians such as Waldo Mendoza, Virginia (former singer of Los Surik), Lázaro Miguel (former singer of Manguaré); or phonographic projects such as the tribute to Lilí Martínez Griñán, former pianist of the Conjunto Chapotín, and in which Mayito Rivera and Laíto participated; the disc Estrellas de areíto, with several singers from groups such as Van Van, Anacaona, Sexto Sentido, NG La Banda; Looking for the melody, phonogram dedicated to Benny Moré, among others.
